At Aspen, we support all of our graduates through further qualifications, whether it be insurance credentials or a function-specific qualification such as the ACCA for our finance cohort.
We’re pleased to announce that one of our graduates, Grazia Salcuni, has now won the prestigious Part Qualified Student of the Year award by PQ Magazine, a U.K. based accounting magazine and website, at their annual awards, held on Monday April 22, 2024. A testament to Grazia’s hard work, dedication and outstanding achievements in her ACCA journey.
On receiving the award, Grazia said “I already thought it was a big achievement being shortlisted, I can’t express how it feels to have won. I’ve never seen myself as an award winner, so I’m so grateful for the support I consistently receive from family, friends and colleagues.”
Yelena LA Forgia, Chief Financial Officer, Aspen Insurance and Aspen U.S., mentors Grazia, and when she heard of Grazia’s nomination she said: “I have had the pleasure of mentoring Grazia for several months and I am thoroughly impressed by her passion, eagerness to learn and commitment to her personal and professional growth. With her dedication, drive and growth mindset, I have no doubt that she has a bright future with our organization, and I look forward to watching and supporting her throughout her career. “
Her tutors also commend her for consistently achieving high scores, demonstrating a deep understanding of theories and concepts, and showcasing exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Grazia’s passion for learning is evident in her active participation in class discussions and her eagerness to explore diverse perspectives.
Alex Bowles, Aspen Early Careers Advisor, said: “Grazia has been an exemplary member of our 2022 graduate cohort and an asset to both our Early Careers community and Aspen over the last 18 months. Not only is she hard-working, driven and capable, but she consistently demonstrates Aspen’s values which, as we know, are inherent to how we succeed as a business. We are very proud of her achievement in winning PQ Student of the Year Award and look forward to seeing her progress in her career at Aspen.”
